SNELLEN’S CHART

This is a special chart which shows letters that is used to test visual acuity. This is a chart show latter and numbers in decreasing size to measure visual acuity, this chart show in image.

Procedure

  • No preparation is require performing test, just sit and start
  • This is a non-invasive procedure for eye acuity.
  • Tell the client to stand or sit distance from (6 meters) 20 feet from snellen chart.
  • Tell the patient to cover one eye with palm of one hand.
  • Instruct the patient to read the lefters on chart.
  • After reading repeat this procedure on another eye.
  • Normal results (20/20):
  • The above value is the distance act which client stand or sits from chart
  • The below value is the distance at which client could read letters correctly.
