- Heavy alcoholism
- Extreme stress
- Infections-bacterial, viral with in ear
- Smoke
- A history of allergies
- Respiratory disorders
- Bacterial infections.
Signs and Symptoms
- Loss of balance
- Dizziness
- Difficulty in focusing
- Tinnitus
- Nausea
- Weakness
- Paralysis
- Loss of Coordination and Control
- Double vision
- Convulsions
- Slurred speech
- Fainting.

- History collection
- Physical examination
- Hearing tests
- Blood test
- CT scan of head
- MRI Of Head
- Electroencephalogram (EEG)
- Electronystagmography (ENT).
Management
- Antihistamines such as desloratadine (Clarinex)
- Reducing dizziness and nausea such as meclozine (Antivert)
- Sedatives such as diazepam
