It is infectious disorder characterized by formation of boils in hair follicles (Pus Formation in Hair Follicles)

Clinical Features

• Ear obstructions
• Discharge from ear
• Pus Formation
• Tenderness in ear
• Pain and swelling in ear
• Irritation
• Difficulty in hearing

Etiology/ Risk Factors

• Poor hygiene
• Obesity
• Malnutrition
• Infection
• Weak immune system
• scraps, abrasions and cuts.

Signs and Symptoms

• Tenderness
• Hearing Loss
• Pain

Management

• Nimesulide 100 mg BD
• Instill eye drops
• Apply antibiotic steroid cream
• Warm compass
• Abscess drainage by incision if necessary.
• Clear Ear
